About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Twinkl Educational Publishing. As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability and performance of our IT infrastructure, leading and supporting various IT projects, and ensuring the security, availability, and performance of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the company's IT infrastructure, including firewalls, networks, servers, and cloud services.
  • Ensure the security, availability, and performance of Twinkl's IT systems.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams, resolving IT issues promptly.
  • Lead and support IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement IT solutions that support business objectives.
  • Liaise with external vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their IT needs and provide effective solutions.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in IT operations, including server administration, networking, and cloud services.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as virtualization technologies and cloud-based infrastructure management.
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices for firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Proven experience in managing and delivering IT projects, with a solid understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
