Job Details:

Salary Range: £5,332 per annum plus additional incident call out payments at £16.54 per hour

Work Location: Petersfield Fire Station

Hours per week: Minimum of 35 on-call hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

The Role:

An on-call firefighter is a paid employee who responds to emergencies and engages with the community. They have everyday lives until their pager sounds, then they become professional firefighters.

This role is not just about fighting fires; it involves a wide range of situations, including community fire safety, flooding, co-responding, road accidents, and chemical spills.

Previous experience is not necessary, as we provide a comprehensive training programme. What is important is that you are enthusiastic and can meet certain essential requirements.

Please note: To be eligible to apply, you must work and/or live within 4 minutes of the Fire Station.
