- Ensure that patients receive high-quality care, including effective nursing care, patient safety, and positive patient experience.
- Work closely with the Director of Nursing and Deputy Director of Quality to develop and implement strategies to improve patient care.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Division of Surgery and wider Trust to ensure that services are responsive to patient needs.
- Ensure that staffing is appropriate to patient need and that nurses are empowered to take on a wider range of clinical activities.
- Improve hospital cleanliness and ensure that patients' nutritional needs are met.
- Make sure that patients are treated with respect and dignity and that their concerns are addressed.
- Prevent hospital-acquired infections and resolve problems for patients and their relatives.
