Job Summary:

NHS National Services Scotland is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Healthcare Support Worker to join our team in the Surgical Receiving Unit at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. As a key member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical staff in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist registered nurses and the clinical team in the care of emergency receiving patients undergoing surgical assessment, investigation, and management.
  • Contribute to the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate patient-centered care, adhering to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Work autonomously and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Participate in continuous professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • SVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Relevant experience in a caring environment, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Ability to work a rotational shift pattern, including early, late, and 12-hour shifts.
  • Willingness to complete mandatory induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and adhere to the Code of Conduct.
