Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Fire and Security Engineer to join our reputable client, a prominent firm in the fire and security sector. This role involves providing expert support to a diverse range of clients, including commercial and educational institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and commissioning of fire and security systems, including Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, and Fire Alarm systems.
- Participation in an emergency call-out rota (1 week in 8).
- Conducting client demonstrations and ensuring all installation paperwork complies with SSAIB standards.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary range: £30,000 - £38,000, depending on experience.
- Local assignments with minimal travel required.
- Annual bonuses during Christmas and summer (average of £1,700 per year).
- 23 days of annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, with additional time off during the Christmas period and an option for volunteer days.
- Continuous training opportunities valued at £2,000 per year.
- Comprehensive health plan and company pension scheme.
- Provision of uniform, laptop, specialist equipment, tools, and a company van with a fuel card.
- Initial fire training and relevant manufacturer training.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field.
- Strong background in commercial projects, particularly with intruder alarms and CCTV systems.
- Familiarity with access control systems, fire alarms, and emergency lighting is advantageous.
- Valid UK Driving Licence is essential.
- Experience with various intruder alarm equipment and CCTV systems is preferred.
- Enhanced DBS check is desirable and will be conducted upon joining.
