Spencer Clarke Group is collaborating with a local authority seeking a skilled Financial Administrator.

The Financial Administrator plays a crucial role in assisting the Business & Finance Manager by providing essential administrative and financial support, which includes managing IT systems, accurately processing and recording payments, and contributing to the smooth operation of the Business Support Team.

Contract Duration: Initially 3-6 months, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position.

Working Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week.

Location: Central London. (This position is hybrid, requiring flexibility to work 2 days in the office.)

Compensation: Starting from £19 - £22 per hour (Negotiable based on experience).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices and payment schedules for the SEND Team as necessary.
  • Assist the Business & Finance Manager in managing and enhancing administrative systems within the SEND Team.
  • Oversee archiving and file management for the SEND Team.
  • Support the Business & Finance Manager with specific data requests.
  • Handle and relay telephone messages for the SEND Team.
  • Ensure high-quality written and verbal communication with clients.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed pupil records.
  • Prioritize and address all incoming correspondence promptly and effectively.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years as a Financial Administrator.
  • Experience in accounts payable within an educational institution or local authority education department.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Excel.
