Job Title: Multicam Operator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Multicam Operator to join our team at News UK. As a Multicam Operator, you will be responsible for providing high-quality visual output for our live broadcasts. You will work closely with our Visual Operations Manager to ensure that our visualisation is of the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vision mixing in a live broadcast environment
- Visual content creation and project management
- Correctly copying text onto screen graphics
- Liaising with the Visual News Producer/Editor and grabbing assets from folders
- Making sure presenters are framed correctly and constantly checking the output
- Being fully aware of all compliance issues, including Ofcom and reporting restrictions
- Taking responsibility for making our visuals look next level
- Reporting technical issues through the appropriate channels
- Constantly checking for breaking news and stories
- Maintaining Mulicam's efficiency and ensuring that servers are rebooted and storage regularly checked and cleared
Requirements:
- A passion for radio production and an ear for great audio
- A creative mind, ability to think differently about new concepts for radio and visualisation
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and spot errors
- Excellent communications skills
- Up-to-date with current news environment
- Thriving in fast-paced environments and able to work quickly in small teams
- Used to working closely with presenters and knowing how to engage them
- Understanding of relevant compliance and legal issues
- Embracing change and suggesting new initiatives and ways of working
