**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Identify and Manage Design-Related Risks:**
    • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • **Obtain and Compile Pre-Construction Information Pack:**
    • Collaborate with designers and contractors to gather and compile essential information for the pre-construction phase.
  • **Communicate Effectively with Stakeholders:**
    • Facilitate Design Team Meetings and Risk Workshops to ensure seamless communication among contractors, designers, and clients.
  • **Review and Monitor Designers' Compliance:**
    • Verify that designers adhere to CDM regulations and provide guidance as needed.
  • **Plan, Coordinate, and Manage Pre-Construction Phase:**
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to manage the pre-construction phase, ensuring timely completion and adherence to CDM regulations.
  • **Ensure Designers Adhere to CDM Requirements:**
    • Monitor designers' work and provide feedback to ensure compliance with CDM regulations.
  • **Provide Essential Information to Contractors:**
    • Ensure contractors have access to necessary information to manage health and safety throughout the construction phase.
  • **Conduct Interim Health & Safety Inspections and Review Site Records:**
    • Regularly inspect sites to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and review site records to identify areas for improvement.
  • **Review Contractor's Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan:**
    • Evaluate the contractor's health and safety plan to ensure it meets CDM regulations.
  • **Update, Review, and Deliver Health & Safety File to Client:**
    • Compile and deliver a comprehensive health and safety file to the client, ensuring all necessary information is included.

**Requirements:**

  • **Basic Understanding of CDM Regulations:**
    • Knowledge of CDM regulations and their application in the construction industry.
  • **Knowledge of Implementing Health & Safety Procedures and Guidelines:**
    • Understanding of health and safety procedures and guidelines, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • **General Understanding of Health & Safety within the Construction Industry:**
    • Familiarity with health and safety practices and regulations within the construction industry.
  • **Working Towards TechIOSH/APS Membership:**
    • Commitment to obtaining TechIOSH/APS membership, demonstrating a commitment to professional development.
  • **Pursuing a Professional Qualification in Designing, Building Surveying, or Building Services:**
    • Engagement in a professional qualification program in designing, building surveying, or building services, demonstrating a commitment to career development.
  • **Commitment to Continual Professional Development (CPD):**
    • Commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • **NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety (Preferred):**
    • Hold a NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety, demonstrating a high level of knowledge and expertise in health and safety.
