Tower Bridge Technical Officer Job

We are seeking a skilled Technical Officer to join our team at Suitable Candidates Ltd. This is a unique opportunity to work on the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic machinery associated with Tower Bridge.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the maintenance programme and allocate work to technical assistants.
  2. Supervise staff and undertake formal management duties, including staff appraisal and leave management.
  3. Determine equipment needs and issue orders for stores and equipment.
  4. Act as the senior technical presence at commercial events and deal with maintenance issues.
  5. Occasionally deputise for the Senior Technical Officer.
  6. Carry out routine testing of safety and emergency equipment.
Requirements:
  1. Previous experience in a similar position.
  2. Qualified Electrician or electrical bias.
  3. Good IT and Excel knowledge.
  4. Comfortable working at heights.

This is an initial 3-month contract with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be required to work shift work, 4 days on/4 days off, and be open to working weekends and bank holidays if required.
