McKinlay Law is seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day accounting functions for our London office.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage all accounting functions to ensure complete compliance with HM Revenue & Customs, Solicitors' Accounts Rules, and Money Laundering Regulations.
- Lead and manage the London finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of financial objectives.
- Work with the Director of Administration to coordinate and review the London annual budget, including ongoing review against actual results and review of monthly variances.
- Collaborate with the international finance department and IT to develop and implement accounting software to improve operational efficiency.
- Report on financial performance, including reviews of income, profit, and expense activity with the CFO.
- Supervise client accounting, including liaising with the bank, authorization of bank reconciliations, interest payments, transfers, and counsel disbursements to ensure compliance with SRA standards.
- Prepare year-end consolidation and statutory accounts, including overseeing and coordinating with external auditors and accountants, as necessary.
- Oversee the reconciliation of London office bank accounts and review cash flow.
- Coordinate with the international tax team and other advisers regarding income tax filings and related payments for partners and the Firm's bankers.
- Minimum of five years' accounting experience from another law firm.
- Knowledge of SRA accounts rules and Anti-Money Laundering and KYC processes.
- Experience managing and leading a team.
