Transport Planner Job Description

At Streamline Search, we are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team. As a Transport Planner, you will play a crucial role in planning routes for our UK Road Haulage operations, ensuring compliance with Air Freight regulations and meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and optimize routes for up to 10 vehicles, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting customer expectations.
  • Manage and update our bespoke transport management system to ensure seamless operations.
  • Liaise with customers and drivers to ensure timely communication and resolution of any issues.
  • Participate in regular team performance meetings with the Transport Manager and Director to discuss progress and goals.
Requirements:
  • Experience in Air Freight services and route planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize routes and resolve issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers and drivers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive basic salary of £32,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.
  • Overtime opportunities to meet operational needs, paid at 1.1x rate.
  • Monday to Friday working hours, excluding bank holidays.
  • 28 days annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays.
