About the Role:

CABI is seeking a skilled Learning Experience Designer to join our team on a contract basis. As a Learning Experience Designer, you will be responsible for reviewing and updating one of our key courses to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute updates to the Seed & Planting eLearning course, incorporating UX changes, SME feedback, and certification assessment activities.
  • Liaise with subject matter experts, learning designers, UX designers, and Moodle administrators to ensure seamless collaboration and effective communication.
  • Design and develop engaging learning experiences that meet the needs of our users, incorporating best practices in instructional design and adult learning theory.
  • Work closely with the CABI Learning Designer and UX Designer to ensure consistency and alignment with CABI's design standards.
  • Collaborate with the Moodle Administrator to ensure smooth integration of updates and effective use of the Moodle platform.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in learning design or digital learning content creation, preferably in the further education, higher education, international development, public sector, charities, or NGO sectors.
  • Proven track record of designing clear and concise learning activities and assessments that meet measurable learning objectives.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with subject matter experts, learning designers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design principles.
  • Experience with Moodle and HTML/CSS would be an asset.
  • Proficiency in using Office 365 and Zoom or Teams Channels.
