Bookkeeping and VAT Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeping and VAT Manager to join our team at Pro-Recruitment. As a key member of our accounting practice, you will be responsible for overseeing the bookkeeping department and managing a client portfolio consisting of sole trade and incorporated entities across various industries.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a client portfolio, including preparation of VAT returns and bookkeeping on various software programs, primarily Xero.
- Review and oversee the work of junior team members and outsourcing staff.
- Ensure trial balances are complete and accurate in preparation for handing over to the accounts department.
- 8-10 years of experience in a UK accountancy practice.
- Proficiency in bookkeeping software, including Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks.
- Experience in VAT, dealing with HMRC, and knowledge of VAT schemes.
