Role Overview:
As we expand, Altium seeks a Mid-Market Sales Executive to spearhead growth in the designated region. The primary responsibility of this role is to cultivate new client relationships while enhancing connections with existing customers to promote and upsell our products and services.
Daily Responsibilities of a Mid-Market Sales Executive:
- Strategic Planning: Employ a methodical and analytical approach to manage a portfolio of use cases, ensuring effective positioning of our platform. Maintain an updated pipeline and provide valuable insights on strategic aspects like pricing and positioning.
- Sales Strategy Development: Formulate specific account plans aimed at maximizing revenue from new products. Build and leverage relationships within our extensive base of existing accounts and new customer accounts to drive organizational strategy.
- Innovative Marketing and Prospecting: Utilize creative thinking to enhance awareness of Altium's vision, planning and executing targeted campaigns for your territory.
- Customer Insight: Gain a deep understanding of each client's strategic growth objectives, technology landscape, internal challenges, and competitive environment.
- Industry Awareness: Stay informed on key industry trends and issues by reviewing public information such as executive appointments, earnings reports, and press releases related to the company and its competitors.
- Sales Advancement: Successfully execute the sales strategy and roadmap to advance and close sales opportunities.
- Revenue Generation: Achieve new business revenue targets while collaborating closely with our Customer Success Management and support teams to ensure effective product adoption.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in quota-carrying sales roles, particularly in technology solutions, solution engineering, or enterprise marketing.
- Proven sales strategy capabilities with a track record of successfully prospecting and securing new business.
- Experience in selling diverse software solutions across various business lines.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate forecasts for your territory using sales tools and analytics to identify high-potential customers, crafting strategies that drive success.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate growth.
