About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) team as a UK DEI Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our organization's commitment to creating a more inclusive and equitable work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Partnership Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the UK leadership team, DEI Partner sponsors, and advocates, to drive the implementation of our global DEI strategy.
  • DEI Program Management: Partner with teams across the firm to support the delivery of our UK DEI strategy, including Graduate Recruitment, Recruitment, and HR Advisory.
  • Market Benchmarking and Reporting: Prepare responses to DEI market surveys and benchmarks, including delivery of annual Mansfield certification, Model Diversity Survey (MDS) submissions, Social Mobility Employers Index (SMEI), and ad-hoc awards.
  • Racial Equity Programming: Drive racial equity programming, including annual Flair Race in the Workplace survey and delivery of Racial Equity Plan actions.
  • Global DEI Education and Communications: Roll out global DEI education in the region and lead on communications and roll out of UK DEI programming, including annual Self-ID Campaign and National Inclusion Week.
  • External Partnerships: Manage external partnerships, including General Counsel D&I (GCD&I), Business in the Community (BITC), Inclusive Employers, Miranda Brawn Diversity Scholarship, and Law Society's Diversity Access Scheme.
  • Employee Network Liaison: Liaise with employee networks, manage budgets, support program design and delivery, build opportunities for collaboration, and promote opportunities across the firm.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Produce internal and external reports to monitor progress against global goals, lead on annual Pay Gap reporting, and bi-annual SRA submission.
  • Client Relationship Development: Partner with M&BD to deepen relationships with key clients, update key DEI collateral, and input into annual EMEA and Global DEI reports.
  • Training and Development: Deliver training on DEI concepts and facilitate conversations on DEI.
  • Representation and Advocacy: Represent the DEI department at client and industry events.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Training: Previous DEI experience is essential, with at least two years at management level. A D&I certificate/qualification or another significant D&I credential is desirable.
  • General Attributes: Creative and innovative thinker, proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office 365 packages, excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent proofreading and organizational skills, self-motivated, strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
