Health and Safety Manager

Accent Group is seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Heath, Safety and Facilities team, you will play a crucial role in promoting a positive health and safety culture across the organization.

About the Role:

  • 35 hours per week
  • Permanent

As our Health and Safety Manager, you will lead and inspire colleagues to promote a positive health and safety culture, ensuring we provide safe homes for customers and workplaces for colleagues. You will utilize your strong stakeholder engagement skills to partner with all areas of the business to deliver a holistic H&S function in a dynamic and enthusiastic manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and guidance
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
  • Provide training and support to colleagues on health and safety matters
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address health and safety concerns

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent
  • Enthusiasm and drive to deliver meaningful change
  • Evidenced sector knowledge and a desire to improve safety standards in social housing
  • Fantastic interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in managing a remote team
  • Experience in developing policies and procedures and an understanding of HSG 65 and ISO 45001

Location:

The successful candidate will be required to live within a commutable distance to our Bradford or Peterborough office. Upon completion of probation, dependent on meeting of role requirements, there may also be the opportunity for hybrid working.

Interview Process:

First stage – competency interview over Teams on the 21st/22nd October. Second stage – Behavioural Assessment, presentation and final interview in person at our Peterborough office on Monday 28th October or Bradford on Tuesday 29th October.
