Job Summary:

The Human Capital Company is seeking an experienced Oil Trader to join our team in a London-based Hedge Fund. As a key member of our commodities trading desk, you will be responsible for executing robust, market-leading trading strategies and managing significant risk.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement proprietary trading strategies to maximize returns and minimize risk.
  • Manage a trading book with a value at risk (VAR) of over $1 million.
  • Collaborate with our team of experienced traders to identify market opportunities and optimize trading performance.
  • Articulate and defend your trading strategy to senior management and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in a trading role, preferably in a hedge fund or proprietary trading firm.
  • Clear track record of proprietary trading experience and a strong understanding of risk management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on market analysis and trend identification.
