About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team at DB Schenker. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete all unit load device (ULD) builds to airline specifications as instructed by LHR Gateway, ensuring aircraft safety is maintained at all times.
  • Freight handling: receiving inbound freight using the GXD system and WMS, and booking in and processing outbound freight using the same systems.
  • Forklift operations: safely loading and unloading vehicles using a forklift.
  • Freight sorting: sorting and splitting freight according to customer SOPs.
  • Manual handling: frequently performing manual handling tasks.
  • Material handling equipment: using all MHE as trained.

Requirements

  • ULD build experience.
  • Warehouse experience: previous experience working within a warehouse environment is essential.
  • Reach truck license: holding a reach truck license is advantageous for this position.
  • Desirable license: possession of a counterbalance license would be advantageous.
  • Computer literacy: proficiency in basic computer skills.
  • Time management: excellent timekeeping and attendance are essential qualities.
