Senior Real Estate and Procurement Director

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Procurement team as a Senior Real Estate and Procurement Director. This will be a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives to support our real estate requirements across our global presence. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, engage in negotiations with real estate service providers - both global and local - and implement high-quality, cost-effective solutions to address the company's real estate needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for real estate services, encompassing leasing, property management, and associated services.
  • Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies, process enhancements, and optimization of real estate-related procurement activities.
  • Lead Real Estate projects throughout their lifecycle, from business request to office selection, contract negotiation, and office move-in, collaborating with internal stakeholders and Suppliers.
  • Assess, select, and manage relationships with real estate service providers, negotiating contracts and terms for favorable agreements. Conduct regular performance evaluations of real estate vendors and implement enhancement strategies as necessary.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key real estate partners to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Oversee lease negotiation processes in partnership with internal stakeholders, ensuring advantageous terms and conditions for the company.
  • Collaborate with local office leads, legal, and finance teams to review lease agreements and ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Analyze costs and conduct financial modeling to support real estate decisions. Work closely with finance teams to develop and manage real estate-related budgets.
  • Stay informed about real estate market trends, property values, and regulatory changes influencing sourcing and procurement activities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis to facilitate strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align real estate sourcing strategies with overall business objectives. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to grasp their real estate needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all real estate sourcing operations. Keep updated on pertinent laws and regulations affecting real estate procurement.
  • Identify and address potential risks associated with real estate transactions and contracts. Implement risk mitigation strategies to protect the organization's interests.

About You

  • Degree in Business, Real Estate, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field. A Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Extensive experience in strategic sourcing, focusing on Real Estate services, facilities, and transactions within a professional services environment or global corporation.
  • Solid Project Management, Negotiation, Contract management, and Supplier relationship capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problems-solving skills.
  • Understanding of real estate market trends, industry best practices, and regulatory mandates.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal proficiencies.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.
  • Proficiency in German is a bonus.
