Veterinary Surgeon

Job Type: Full Time
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team based in Whitchurch. The position is full time, working 4 days per week between the hours of 8:30am & 6:30pm, with occasional Saturday mornings and one weeknight every 3 weeks.
Our new large modern building offers a friendly atmosphere, within walking distance of the town, with ample parking and a short walk to the train station. Our team consists of a large group of vets with varied skill sets and a friendly team of nurses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer care and service to clients.
- Write up all cases in full, monitor hospitalised patients, and communicate information to the nursing staff.
- Inform clients of test results and update on progress after treatment.
- Communicate positively with clients on progress, results, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment options, and costs involved.
- Maintain membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
- Present a professional approach and smart appearance at all times.
- Record all patient information, treatment, diagnostic reports, and charges into the PMS.
- Understand and comply with legal obligations in relation to prescription safe keeping and supply of Veterinary medicinal products.
- Maintain personal CPD as per RCVS guidelines.
You will be joining a supportive team made up of experienced professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality care. The ideal candidate will be RCVS registered, competent in all routine surgeries, and enthusiastic about promoting and building the practice.
