OVERVIEW & SCOPE OF ROLE:


Morgan IT is committed to enhancing Digital Capabilities by establishing a sustainable IT infrastructure as a cornerstone of our success in the coming century.

This entails providing fit-for-purpose, consistently updated IT services with a minimal environmental footprint that maximizes our workforce's capabilities to generate business value.

To achieve this, the OneIT team is currently implementing a strategic roadmap aimed at achieving significant improvements in IT performance and business value.

The global IT Operations team is responsible for ensuring that all IT services exceed the expectations of our internal and external clients.

Our goal is to maximize the value derived from IT services while minimizing disruption and delivering cost-effectively.

The IT Specialist is accountable for deliverables and solution realization, executing projects managed by the project manager and designed by the Solution Architects.

They support the project manager in delivering the project within the defined scope, time constraints, and budget.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide comprehensive technical support to end-users with effective communication

Deliver second and third line technical support to end-users within the designated domain, addressing their issues promptly and efficiently while keeping them fully informed.

Collaborate across domains in problem management and major incident management activities to effectively identify root causes and provide solutions.
Assist in service maintenance and monitoring: ensuring services are current, secure, and performing optimally.

Support projects and changes in achieving their objectives
Ensure that requirements are comprehended and addressed in solution descriptions
Identification, analysis, mapping, and documentation of information needs for current and future processes/systems
Contribute to solution realization in projects related to the assigned domain
Manage project products and configuration management for deliverables such as configurations and functional/technical designs
Work with users to ensure the project aligns with business needs
Conduct unit testing for project deliverables and facilitate user acceptance testing
Plan and implement changes to the domain in coordination with the operations team
Collaborate with Operations on Service Introduction management
Bring Morgan-specific knowledge on processes and systems into the projects

User training and documentation

Create and update user manuals, guides, and documentation to assist end-users in navigating IT systems and tools effectively.
Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance the technical skills of end-users and IT colleagues.

Continuous Service Improvement

Identify and shape opportunities for continuous improvement: enhancing service quality, end-user experience, documentation, etc.
Drive changes and projects to deliver enhancements

Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is typically preferred but not always required.
Microsoft exam qualifications are advantageous
ITIL v3 or above

Experience:
4+ years of experience in IT support or a related role, with a focus on their specific domain.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience within their domain.
Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues related to their domain.

Competencies:
Expertise in diagnosing and resolving domain-specific issues, whether related to hardware, software, or network components.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills for assisting end-users, clients, or stakeholders within their domain.
Strong knowledge of their domain's technologies, protocols, and best practices.
Familiarity with security and compliance requirements specific to their domain.
Advanced skills in documentation and record-keeping for asset management and issue resolution.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams, vendors, and experts for complex problem resolution and maintenance.
Effective time management and task prioritization to handle multiple support requests or projects within their domain.
Adaptability to emerging technologies and a commitment to continuous learning and skill development.
Adherence to IT policies and procedures for security, data integrity, and compliance within their domain.
Deep understanding of Azure services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings.
Entra ID
Implementing and Supporting Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop environments
Understanding of Microsoft Sentinel
Monitoring solutions like Log Analytics
Azure Backup and Recovery
Azure Update Manager
Azure Arc
Expertise in cloud security principles and best practices.
Strong knowledge of networking concepts, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers in Azure.
Proficiency in automation and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, source control, and infrastructure as code.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a cloud environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
