Environmental Services Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Associate to join our team at Care New England Health System. As an Environmental Services Associate, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and Disinfect Patient Rooms: Ensure that all patient rooms are clean, disinfected, and ready for occupancy. This includes making beds, emptying trash and linen, and restocking supplies.
- Transport Patients and Equipment: Safely transport patients, medical equipment, and supplies throughout the hospital. This includes using wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds, as well as assisting patients with mobility issues.
- Deliver Specimens and Reports: Deliver laboratory specimens, x-rays, lab reports, and other miscellaneous items to the nursing units and other departments.
- Maintain Equipment and Supplies: Ensure that all equipment and supplies are in good working order and are properly maintained. This includes washing and cleaning equipment, as well as reporting any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with Training and Orientation: Assist with the training and orientation of new employees, including observing and enforcing hospital policies and procedures.
- Perform Other Duties as Assigned: Perform other duties as assigned by management, including assisting with special projects and events.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have a strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and procedures.
