As a Product Manager focusing on Legacy Solutions, you will oversee the comprehensive management of legacy readers within the HID Physical Access Control Solution (PACS) reader portfolio.
This role is interdisciplinary, connecting product management with development, operations, and support teams to deliver exceptional products and customer satisfaction.
To excel in this position, candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, particularly in electro-mechanical and embedded firmware systems within the RFID and physical access control sectors.
Your responsibilities will include leading initiatives to maintain and enhance the legacy portfolio of reader products while collaborating with a global team of Business/Epic owners, Product Owners, Engineers, and Operations professionals.

The Physical Access Control Solutions (PACS) division is a key segment of HID Global, encompassing a range of products including readers, controllers, mobile access solutions, and physical credentials. Our strategic aim is to enhance our business potential and achieve greater profitability and growth through innovation and product differentiation.
As our Product Manager for Legacy Solutions, your contributions will include:
- Leading and managing activities for the legacy reader portfolio to deliver unique solutions that enhance customer experience.
- Defining and articulating clear product requirements that address both internal and external market challenges.
- Ensuring that portfolio initiatives align with the legacy reader roadmap and the broader strategic vision.
- Managing changes to the product vision and roadmap in accordance with PACS strategic themes.
- Identifying optimization opportunities through continuous improvement and understanding market trends.
- Driving results by developing metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the product line.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to align marketing, sales, and product units for revenue growth.
- Developing and executing comprehensive Go-to-Market strategies for existing product lines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in product development from concept to launch.
- Experience in product management across various customer types and technologies.
- Strong decision-making skills with a focus on strategic risk management.
- Ability to anticipate market changes and adapt accordingly.
- Strategic thinking and effective management of complex projects.
- Proactive and self-motivated with strong documentation capabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership across functions including Sales, Quality, Finance, and Operations.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and product management software.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- At least 5 years of experience in Product Management or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of contactless RFID technology and physical access control systems.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Customer Expectations:
- Ability to interpret internal requirements and manage customer expectations effectively.
- Proven track record of excellence in customer interactions.
Work Requirements:
