**Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Team Leader - Supply Chain Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure the continuous supply of goods into our facility, including the purchasing of goods, materials, and services to meet customer demand.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and work with high-quality, highly competitive, and capable suppliers to drive a competitive edge for the business.
  • Focus on reducing costs and negotiating the best deals while improving quality and supply.
  • Arrange timely delivery of materials based on supply chain demands.
  • Ensure that all procurement activity conforms to best practice and company ethics, principles, and processes.
  • Work with production teams in the event of a critical supply shortage risk.
  • Escalate perceived risk and actual non-conformities in real-time.
  • Analyze data to identify problems and trends to determine areas for performance improvement (cost, productivity, demand patterns, etc.).
  • Provide analysis and insight to inform the annual planning and budgeting process, including the creation of performance benchmarks.
  • Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiencies, add value, aid business performance, and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement.

**Requirements:

  • Educated to at least A-level.
  • CIPS advantageous.
  • Experience in related industries highly desirable.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to our MRP system.
  • Fully conversant with MS Office software (e.g., complex Excel spreadsheets).
  • Strong in continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills to multiple levels of the organization.
  • Analytical, organized, and numerically astute with strong proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Function well in a high-paced demanding environment.
