Job Title: Civil Engineering Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our team at VGC. As a key member of our infrastructure development team, you will be responsible for delivering major civils projects from conception to completion.

Responsibilities:

* Provide engineering direction to subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives within your area of responsibility
* Manage a team of graduates and apprentices, providing direction, guidance, and mentoring
* Develop, prepare, and review safe systems of work, method statements, permits, and quality documentation
* Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with specifications
* Oversee the selection and requisition of materials
* Manage, monitor, and interpret contract design documents
* Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project

Requirements:

* Civil Engineering related qualification (HNC, HND, BSc, MSc, BEng, MEng)
* Demonstrable experience delivering major civils projects
* Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) mandatory
* Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) preferable
* Good written and oral communication skills
* Ability to manage and control tasks and lead a team
* Willing to mentor and develop junior staff
