About the Role

As a Backend Developer at Roke, you'll play a key role in designing, developing, and engineering software and products for our National Security customers. You'll have the opportunity to work across multiple projects and innovations tasks, while also supporting your professional and career development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software and products using Python, Java, C#, Go, and supporting backend frameworks
  • Work with SQL and NoSQL database systems, as well as Linux-based operating systems such as Ubuntu, Centos/RHEL, and Android
  • Implement message brokering, serialisation, and queueing systems, as well as microservices, containers, and hosts
  • Use Infrastructure as Code tools such as Vagrant, Ansible, and Terraform to manage infrastructure
  • Work with AWS and Azure Cloud platforms
  • Use Git and version control systems to manage code
