Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our client's team on a temporary basis. As a key member of the culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Ensure compliance with our client's standards and procedures for preparation, production, and presentation of high-quality dishes.
  • Inventory Management: Source purchases from our client's nominated suppliers and conduct routine audits to comply with quality assurance standards.
  • Service Delivery: Maintain excellent levels of service by closely monitoring operations during service periods and providing prompt and efficient meal service.
  • Menu Planning and Control: Demonstrate expertise in menu planning, ordering, and stock control, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of menu items.
  • Quality Assurance: Receive and inspect goods upon delivery, ensuring accuracy and quality, and ensure proper storage of goods in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Cost Control: Create and implement costed menus for various events and maintain and report on the condition of equipment, ensuring prompt repairs.
  • Health and Safety: Comply with all relevant health and safety, hygiene, and cleanliness regulations, and safeguard company and client property and monies.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to the achievement of service level agreements and key performance indicators, and drive continuous improvement through promotions and merchandising initiatives.
  • Incident Response: Act promptly and appropriately in response to incidents, accidents, or irregularities.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Chef, with expertise in various culinary techniques.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Skills: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, effective communication and leadership abilities, and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and work schedules.
