Job Title: Adult Night Nurse

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Band 6 nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As an Adult Night Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the team in delivering exceptional services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective leadership and support to the team, ensuring seamless patient care and efficient department operations.
  • Collaborate with the ED Charge Nurse team to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based solutions.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members, promoting their growth and development.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of local objectives and action plans, ensuring alignment with Trust values and behaviours.
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives, promoting a culture of excellence and patient safety.
Requirements:
  • Current level one nursing registration and a Diploma or degree in nursing.
  • Substantial experience as a Band 5 nurse, with effective leadership skills and experience in Emergency Department or relevant Critical Care areas.
  • Ability to convey sensitive information in an empathic manner and provide constructive feedback to staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Knowledge and experience of maximising patient flow and contributing to the development of local objectives and action plans.
