Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial aspects of assigned projects, tracking performance against contractual timelines, and reporting any issues to Project Managers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the financial aspects of assigned projects
  • Track performance against contractual timelines
  • Report any issues to Project Managers
  • Submit monthly progress applications for ongoing projects
  • Review tender allowances and submit variation requests
  • Maintain effective communication and strong relationships with clients
  • Develop and update spreadsheet analyses regularly
  • Ensure cost control is upheld throughout the procurement, delivery, and design phases, continuing through to the final account stage
  • Adept a commercial mindset to proactively identify and propose cost-saving measures within the business
  • Generate monthly cost and value forecasts
  • Prepare tender and contract documentation
  • Support various day-to-day Quantity Surveying tasks as needed
Requirements:
  • Worked on large commercial projects
  • Quantity Surveyor or similar
  • IT skills in Microsoft Office and Google Sheets
