We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Planner to lead our Development Management team in King's Lynn & West Norfolk. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of planners, providing expert advice on development management, and making decisions on complex planning applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of planners in the development management process, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Provide expert advice on development management, including policy and legislative requirements.
- Make decisions on complex planning applications, taking into account the needs of the community and the borough.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve the borough's development management objectives.
- Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Requirements:
- Chartered status with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
- At least five years of post-qualification experience in development management, with a proven track record of leadership and management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
