Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Age UK. As a key member of our retail operations, you will play a vital role in supporting our Store Managers in all aspects of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in leading a team of Sales Assistants and volunteers to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.
  • Assist in the management of stock, including receiving, storing, and rotating merchandise to ensure maximum visibility and sales.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of visual merchandising displays and store layouts to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the Store Manager to achieve sales targets, manage budgets, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a retail management role, with a strong track record of delivering sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, customers, and external partners.
  • Ability to lift and carry bags of stock up to 10kg's.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of Sales Assistants and volunteers.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed decisions.
