About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Freight Customs Broker to join our team at Page Personnel Sales. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with import and export regulations, working closely with our clients and partners to ensure seamless shipping operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collect and verify import and export shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, customs documents, and proof of delivery, to ensure compliance with UK Customs requirements.
  2. Communicate with customers and freight forwarders to obtain missing documentation and resolve any issues that may arise.
  3. Stay up-to-date with current legislation and export documentation requirements to ensure our clients' shipments are compliant.
  4. Liaise with our finance, customer service, and compliance teams to ensure a smooth and efficient shipping process.
  5. Apply for attested documents with the Chamber of Commerce as required.
Requirements
  1. Experience in import and export compliance, preferably within the freight-forwarding or in-house sector.
  2. A strong understanding of UK Customs regulations and procedures.
  3. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  4. Ability to commute to our Lutterworth site in Leicestershire on a hybrid working basis.
