This is an exciting opportunity for a registered pharmacy technician looking to progress in their career and take on a leadership position within the pharmacy team.
Key Responsibilities- Support and manage the efficient day-to-day operation of controlled drugs supply to wards and departments.
- Lead, support, and manage the safe and secure environment of controlled drugs in the dispensary and at ward level.
- Deliver and contribute to the education and training strategy for trust-wide staff in relation to controlled drugs.
- Collect and analyze data to support controlled drugs service development and maintenance.
- Work with the pharmacy senior management team to develop innovative and forward-thinking service projects to improve compliance and controlled drug service at the trust.
- Line manage relevant staff.
- Deputize for the pharmacy manager, including rota production, workflow analysis, and staff management.
- Carry out general dispensing, distribution, and associated pharmaceutical duties for the Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust.
- Implement policies and procedures and propose changes to working practices to impact on other areas.
- Assist department management by supporting and developing pharmacy governance systems.
- Work as an accredited checking pharmacy technician.
The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust provides a full range of general acute, outpatient, and diagnostic services at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, the Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop's Stortford, and St Margaret's Hospital in Epping.
