We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our Community Mental Health Team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with severe and enduring mental illness.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individually tailored care packages for adults of working age, and their families/carers, who have severe and enduring mental illness.
- Work in a therapeutic, client-centred way and use a range of evidence-based interventions to help promote recovery through individual or joint working with other professionals.
- Participate in the formulation of policy and the development of the Community Mental Health Team, the rapid response functions of the service and the interface with the Single Point of Access.
- Take a lead role in ensuring adequate staffing resources are available to provide the best possible care to service users.
- Assist in the recruitment and selection of staff, and ensure compliance with legal requirements concerning the prescribing, storage, transporting and administration of medicines.
- RMN/Diploma/Degree in a relevant field.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Valid UK registration with their respective professional body.
- Previous experience as a Band 6 clinician in an acute or community setting.
- Effective communication skills both verbally and through written reports.
- Ability to assess complex risk and produce care plans to manage this.
- Effective leadership skills.
- Ability to take responsibility for managing a caseload.
- Ability to manage complex decision making situations.
- Ability to organize and prioritize own workload.
- Ability to supervise junior staff and students.
