Job Title: Academic Tutor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Tutor to join our team at EF Education First Gruppe in Bristol. As an Academic Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality language instruction to students from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Instruction: Deliver general English and special interest courses to students of varying levels and ages.
  • Lesson Planning and Preparation: Plan and prepare engaging and effective lessons that cater to the needs of students.
  • Student Support and Progression: Track student attendance, progress, and provide feedback and guidance to students as needed.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Participate in peer observation programs, attend teacher meetings, and contribute to the development of teaching materials and resources.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications and Experience: CELTA qualified or equivalent, with a strong background in teaching English as a foreign language.
  • Cultural Competence: Sensitive to the needs of international students and able to adapt to diverse cultural contexts.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates a high level of customer service, strong administrative and organizational skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Language Proficiency: C2 level of English language proficiency.
  • Clearance and References: Clear DBS check and two professional references.
  • Work Authorization: Right to work in the UK.
