About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Dornan. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for providing expert cost management and estimation services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our project managers to develop and implement cost-effective construction strategies.
- Conduct thorough site inspections to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Prepare and present detailed cost reports and forecasts to stakeholders, highlighting areas of risk and opportunity.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
- Work closely with our design team to ensure that construction costs are accurately reflected in project designs and specifications.
- Provide expert advice on construction cost management and estimation best practices to our project teams.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve our construction cost management processes.
- Contribute to the development of our company's construction cost management policies and procedures.
- Participate in business development activities to identify new opportunities for our construction cost management services.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Experience working in a pre-fabrication role would be highly beneficial.
- Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
