Role Overview
The position of Senior Systems Architect is pivotal in driving the development and management of intricate systems within various projects. The successful candidate will engage in the design and realization of complex engineering solutions, demonstrating a capacity to navigate uncertainty and apply systems engineering principles to emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Systems Architect, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering expert Systems Engineering services across multiple initiatives.
- Managing the formulation and execution of systems engineering methodologies, tools, and data that guide technical project work.
- Overseeing requirements capture and management, system architecture formulation, functional analysis, and interface management.
- Producing comprehensive technical documentation and ensuring compliance with established standards through personal contributions and peer evaluations.
- Implementing best practices and policies in systems engineering, fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
Department Overview
This role is situated within the Systems Engineering Group, which operates under the Integrated Design Unit, part of the Integrated Engineering Division.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in a recognized STEM discipline or equivalent experience.
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience in Systems Engineering.
- Proven ability to understand engineering concepts and their broader implications.
- Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams to develop complex systems.
- Strong communication and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a leadership role within engineering development projects.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.
- Familiarity with various engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineering.
- Experience in integrating Systems Engineering processes within organizations.
- Knowledge of PLM solutions and MBSE tools is advantageous.
