Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transactional Finance Manager to join our team at Discovery Village at the West End – IL. As a key leader, you will be responsible for linking the Global Finance function together and ensuring timely and accurate financial information for senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 3 across UK and US, including Account Receivable and Accounts Assistants
  • Assist in the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements for stores across US, Australia, and Europe
  • Focus on key areas of Accounts Receivable, including Wholesale, Corporate Sales, and Franchisees
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements in all financial reporting activities
  • Maintain and enforce company policies
  • Lead the global monthly financial close process
  • Manage and review work performed by direct reports
  • Establish, maintain, and document internal and external controls within areas of responsibility
  • Participate in the implementation and development of finance/accounting systems

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant or equivalent
  • Experience in preparation of consolidated financial statements
  • Skilled in Excel
  • Experience with US GAAP
  • Experience managing international teams
  • Strong motivation and persistence to achieve results
  • Honesty, reliability, and careful consideration in decision-making processes
  • Capable of working at pace while maintaining accuracy of work
  • Problem solver with strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to prioritize own and team workloads
  • Effective delegation and development of team members
