Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a secondary school in Dagenham. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join our school community and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to students with SEN, including those with Autism, ADHD, and Learning Difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Assist in managing challenging behavior using positive reinforcement strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement tailored learning plans for students with SEN.
  • Support small group activities, fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience or knowledge of SEN, particularly Autism, ADHD, and Learning Difficulties, is essential.
  • Candidates must have prior experience (personal or professional) working with SEN to be considered.
  • Experience working 1:1 or in small groups with children is a must.
  • Familiarity with managing challenging behavior is advantageous.
