Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pulper Operator to join our team at Sofidel. As a Pulper Operator, you will be responsible for feeding the pulpers according to the daily loading schedule, ensuring compliance with working instructions and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick bales of pulp/converting broke, de-wire, and load onto conveyor in line with specified loading schedule
  • Be familiar with the functioning and automation of referent plant equipment
  • Operate de-wiring conveyor, pulper feed conveyors, and steel wire baler
  • Identify potential contaminants in bales and isolate
  • Complete routine checks on equipment and installation in the working area and report any faults identified
  • Operate equipment in accordance with training guidelines
  • Maintain equipment guaranteeing daily functioning in line with work instructions
  • Assist with operation and cleaning of paper machine if required
  • Comply with all defined standards for quality, environment, and Health and Safety
  • Maintain high level of housekeeping of working area throughout shift
  • Ensure health & safety rules are adhered to
