Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our CAMHS Community Eating Disorder Service. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the provision of psychological assessment and interventions for young people and their families.

Main Duties

You will hold a caseload and work closely with nurses, family-based practitioners, and dieticians to develop and implement psycho-therapeutic and evidence-based treatment plans for children, young people, and families. You will also liaise with external services on aspects of risk assessment and management of eating disorders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting mental health assessments and developing treatment plans
  • Providing individual and group therapy sessions for young people and their families
  • Liaising with external services to ensure comprehensive care
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes
