Position Summary
The selected candidate will manage a modest portfolio of tax clients, with the potential for growth through networking and local connections. The firm will provide support from senior management and marketing teams to help expand your client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Management - Efficient handling of a client portfolio
- Planning, overseeing, and reviewing tax projects;
- Conducting research and reporting on technical matters;
- Engaging with directors and external advisors to resolve complex issues;
- Participating in client meetings;
- Ensuring projects are completed within budget, with explanations for any overruns;
- Meeting all statutory deadlines;
- Identifying and advising on additional value-added services;
- Leading the firm's Inheritance Tax planning initiatives;
- Conducting ad hoc projects, with prior fee agreements and deadline adherence;
- Contributing to the overall efficiency of the team and firm;
- Proactively assisting clients with their tax strategies;
- Advising clients and team members on tax legislation changes and providing necessary guidance.
Qualifications
- Technical Expertise
- Software Proficiency - In-depth knowledge of CCH personal tax, CCH trust tax, CCH CGT, and dividend scheduling tools.
- Staff Development
- Practice Growth
- CTA Qualified - or ATT progressing towards CTA certification.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary, commensurate with experience, typically ranging from £50,000 to £60,000.
- Opportunity to work remotely up to three days a week after the probation period.
- 23 days of annual leave, excluding public holidays (with three days reserved for the holiday season).
- Eligibility for statutory sick pay, subject to qualifying conditions.
- Enhanced sick pay entitlement after one year of service.
