Mechanical Supervisor Job Description

The Client and Project Overview:

Our client, a leading tier 1 M&E Contractor, is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to oversee multiple projects, including schools, hospitals, and retail establishments, for an 18-month contract.

Mechanical Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to and collaborating with the Project Manager.
  • Supervising and executing all Mechanical works.
  • Managing and supervising mechanical sub-contractors.
  • Evaluating the quality of work delivered by the client's Labor and its sub-contractors.
  • Assisting the Quality Manager with QA sign-offs.
  • Addressing technical issues that may arise.
  • Ensuring safe working practices are consistently maintained.
  • Participating in daily meetings with management and other trades.
  • Delivering toolbox talks.
  • Organizing inductions.
  • Managing productivity and driving the project towards completion.

Mechanical Supervisor Requirements:

  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
  • Previous experience in industrial and commercial building services.
  • Mechanical trade or Engineering qualification.
  • At least 10 years of experience working for Mechanical Contractors.
  • Experience in commercial and residential projects.
