Job Summary

The Diocese of Durham is seeking a dynamic and pioneering individual to join our Growing Younger team as a Mission Enabler. This role will focus on building mission and discipleship pathways for 0-25s, growing missional chaplaincy in FE colleges and schools, and raising up new youth and children's leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement local mission initiatives to support the growth of emerging generations
• Work collaboratively with the Growing Younger team to deliver the Diocesan Transformation programme
• Build relationships with parishes and deaneries to raise local aspirations and grow local vision and strategy
• Recruit and develop volunteers to support youth and children's ministry
• Travel throughout the Diocese of Durham to support local mission initiatives

Requirements

• Deep commitment to a personal Christian faith with a motivation to see it grow in emerging generations
• Excellent organisational skills with great initiative
• Experience in coordinating and leading ministry with emerging generations
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to nurture skills and gifts in others
• Ability to travel widely throughout the Diocese of Durham
