Job Title: ASD Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and patient ASD Teaching Assistant to join our partner primary school in the Willenhall area of Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children on the Autism spectrum.

About the Role:
  • Deliver one-on-one support to two Key Stage 1 students with ASD and Speech and Language Communication Needs.
  • Assist students individually and together as a pair.
  • Work on a long-term basis with the potential to become permanent.
Requirements:
  • Experience in providing one-on-one support to children.
  • Knowledge or experience working with children who have ASD, Speech and Language Communication Needs, and non-verbal communication requirements.
  • Familiarity with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Experience in managing challenging behaviour.
  • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications or a degree in a related field.
  • Strong ability to work effectively as part of a team.
