About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Professional Indemnity Professional Support Lawyer to join our dynamic team at Cape Clarke. As a key member of our professional indemnity team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our lawyers by providing high-quality technical legal support, maintaining and developing our knowledge base, and ensuring that our team remains at the forefront of legal developments in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain our knowledge base in professional indemnity law, including drafting and updating precedents, practice notes, and other legal documentation.
  • Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs and workshops for our lawyers to enhance their technical skills and understanding of professional indemnity issues.
  • Legal Research: Conduct in-depth legal research on complex professional indemnity matters and provide practical solutions and guidance to our team.
  • Client Support: Assist in the preparation of client briefings, presentations, and other materials to support business development and client retention initiatives.
  • Regulatory Updates: Monitor and report on changes in legislation, case law, and industry standards affecting professional indemnity law, ensuring our team and clients are informed and compliant.
Requirements
  • Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years' PQE in professional indemnity law.
  • Strong academic background and proven technical expertise in professional indemnity.
  • Excellent legal research and drafting skills.
  • Passion for knowledge management and professional development.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
