Job Overview
Astute People is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Concrete Plant Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our anaerobic digestion plant in Cambridgeshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the plant, while also driving business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the operations team to achieve plant performance targets and KPIs
- Develop and implement strategies to improve plant efficiency and reduce costs
- Manage feedstock procurement and logistics to ensure a stable supply chain
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of plant equipment to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and expansion
- Develop and implement a Planned Preventative Maintenance system to ensure optimal plant performance
- Build and manage a high-performing operations team to drive business success
Requirements
- Degree, HNC, or apprenticeship in a relevant engineering field
- Health & Safety qualification such as IOSH/NEBOSH
- Ideally, WAMITAB COTC Level 4 certification
- Managerial or supervisory experience in anaerobic digestion or related sectors (e.g., Energy from Waste, Water Treatment)
- Strong leadership skills, hands-on approach, and a passion for continuous improvement
