About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at beBee Professionals in Hove, United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement menu plans and food preparation strategies.
  • Lead and motivate the kitchen team to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Ensure the kitchen is maintained in a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring timely ordering and receipt of necessary items.
  • Assume leadership of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, making key decisions to ensure smooth operation.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, with a strong track record of success.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Creativity and passion for cooking with fresh, high-quality ingredients, with a focus on innovation and excellence.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher preferred).
