Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team, responsible for assisting with the management of delivery of accounts, tax, and general accountancy practice services across a varied and exciting client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with clients to prepare and submit annual accounts and tax computations, for both incorporated and un-incorporated businesses.
  • Deal with the completion and submission of self-assessment tax returns.
  • Assist with capital tax issues, such as inheritance tax and capital gains tax.
  • Maintain and update accounting records for clients.
  • Deal with quarterly VAT returns and sub-contractors returns, ensuring CIS requirements are met.
  • Comply with internal policies and procedures, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Draft correspondence for clients and liaise with HMRC.
  • Provide administrative and business set-up services for clients.
  • Supervise and support the work of less experienced team members, including training students.

Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA/AAT qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Experience in accounts preparation for partnerships/LLPs and limited companies.
  • Familiarisation with personal and business tax regulations, plus VAT and PAYE.
  • Proficient in Sage, Xero, and QBO.
  • Calm and efficient under pressure, with the ability to respond to client enquiries promptly, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Confident, professional, and team-oriented in approach.
