Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Orthopaedic Team Lead to join our Theatre Department at Spire Healthcare Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled staff to provide planned care for patients requiring perioperative intervention.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of perioperative practitioners to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Support the theatre manager by providing regular updates and reports on team performance and speciality.
  • Provide specialist advice and expertise to the team and consultants.
  • Liaise with consultants regarding planning and special requirements for lists.
  • Advise and work with other departments on specialist equipment maintenance.
  • Work with the Robotic Clinical Lead to develop a plan and ensure staff are trained in the use of the robot.

Requirements

  • RN or ODP qualification.

  • Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to complex patient case mixes.
  • Challenging consultants to influence evidence-based practice.
  • Supervisory experience (desirable).
